Dear Future Employer:
Thank you for the opportunity to work as a summer
intern for your biomedical company, which would greatly help me gain more experience as a potential
biomedical engineer and gain more knowledge in the field of engineering.
As I mentioned
in my cover letter, I am a sophomore biomedical engineering student attending Cal
Poly in San Luis Obispo. I am unsure of what I want to concentrate in with
biomedical engineering, but tissue engineering has peaked my interest as of
recently. I have interviewed several professors in the field and have decided
to start researching more about tissue engineering and the importance of
regenerative medicine. Also, I plan to start shadowing Cal Poly Professor Dr. Kristen O’Halloran
Cardinal’s tissue engineering lab members to see if I am interested in the
projects they are working on and hopefully become a part of the team in the
near future.
There is a copy of my resume and a cover letter for a potential internship located on my tabs on my blog. If you would like to reach me, please do not hesitate to do so and
contact me through my email at mlbarlow@calpoly.edu or phone (530) 400-9416.
Sincerely,
McKenzie Barlow
